Best and Worst of Budget Concealer!

Hello beauties, I have lot of blemishes so I always put a lot of time in trying to find the perfect concealer which is going to work however isn’t going to drain me of money. These are my Best and Worst of Budget Concealer.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Concealer. (£5.49)

This is such a great Concealer, it looks very thick and heavy however when applied it’s beautiful. It’s a high coverage Concealer, I find I have to warm the product up on the back of my hand then it blends with little effort. I use it every day on my blemishes, and it works a treat. Definitely a winner for me.

Primark PS Conealer Stick. (90p)

I thought to myself a 90p concealer, that’s brilliant! Or not so brilliant.

At first glance I loved the look of this product as the colour was very light with almost a pinky tone to it. I put this under my eyes and on my blemishes and was so disappointed. It has hardly any coverage, is impossible to blend plus creasing happened within minutes. For the price I shouldn’t of expected much however I expected a little more than that. I love Primarks makeup range, I love their lip products and their oval brushes but this product just isn’t for me.

Collection Lasting Psrfection Concealer. (£4.19)

This product, it’s amazing! My all time favourite Budget concealer I use it under my eyes everyday, it doesn’t crease, lasts all day whilst blending beautifully. I have a whole post on this product so if you would like to read more about this go take a look :).

Maybelline Cover Stick (£3.99)

I love Maybelinne Concealers, however this one just didn’t deliver. I am so disappointed with this product, it’s very oily, quite a rough application and the colour range just isn’t as good as other products. There is not much coverage to it at all, I will not purchase this product again.

That’s all for now beauties, let me know your opinions on these concealers or your best and worst.

Current Beauty Essentials!

Hello Beauties,

My beauty routine changes quite a lot as I’m sure most people’s do but whilst I’m loving the one I have been using latley, I thought I would share it with you.

First off to wash my face I have been using the most amazing fash wash/scrub which is – Garnier Exfobrusher. I have wrote a whole post on this absolutely incredible product if you would like more information go have a read! It has become a holy grail product for me!

For moisturiser I have been loving The SkinSystem Day Cream, ASDA. I used to use baby lotion before this however this has a thicker consistency, giving the skin more moisture -which I need as I tend to get very dry skin during the winter time. I use this together with the Benifits It’s Potent, i would never branch out on eye creams as I believe it’s one of the best budget eye cream out there I use it constantly plus Im just  not ready to change eye creams yet its to soon.

Next up is makeup brushes, I always use the same £10 eBay set they do the trick, they have always worked perfectly for me however recently I have been loving these two oval brushes from Primark- I’m thinking about purchasing a whole set online!

Now Make Up! These are my basic everyday makeup products, my ‘essentials’ that I am absolutely loving at the moment. I cherish all these products and they definelty deserve to be put to the test.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation (105),

Maybelline Matte Maker Pressed Powder,

Seventeen Define and Conquer Contour Kit,

Freedom Brow Pomade (Blonde),

Revolution Ultra Eye Contour Light & Shade Matte Palette,

Sleek Full Fat Lash Mascara,

Sleek Solstice Highligher Palette.

That’s all for now beauties, my everyday beauty essentials! Let me know in the comments if you love any of these products or what products you would call you ‘beauty essentials’.

My Latest Eyebrows Favourtie! (Freedom Brow Pomade)

Hello beauties, I’m very fussy with my eyebrows and haven’t yet found the perfect product for me until now. I have been trying to get hold of this product for weeks now but every time I go to Superdrug it’s sold out, so I am very greatful to have finally got hold of it!

Freedom Eyebrow Pomade £5

This is what the product looks like it’s definelty a dupe for the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade which costs around £15-£20. I am so impressed with this product, it has a very thick, soft wax like texture so you only need a tiny bit on a hard angled brush, I also just brush them through after with a eyebrow comb. I do find that you can easily put to much product on leaving your brows looking very false however this is not difficult to avoid by just using a tiny bit of product at a time, it toke me a bit of time to get right but practise makes perfect! I can work with this product very easily creating eaither very natural brows or big defined brows, it goes eaither way.

There are around 10 different shades of this brow pomade, I brought two shades soft brown and blonde as I was unsure what would be the best match for me. I have dark blonde hair and I found the blonde shade was better suited to me, the soft brown which is the colour on the right is very red toned which didn’t look right on me at all however the blonde is perfect. I do feel like if you are a very light blonde you would have to be very careful with the amount of product you apply during application as it is a slightly darker blonde however if you use a very light hand it should work perfectly.

In the photo below the blonde shade is on the right.

That’s all for now beauties, I hope you love this product as much as me, let me know in the  comments below?

Garnier SkinActive Daily Exfobrusher Review!

Hello beauties, today I will be reviewing a new product that I mentioned in my recent beauty haul.

Garnier Skin Active Daily Exfobrusher

At first sight this product looked intriguing, a little pricey for me at £9.00 however it’s definitely worth more than its cost. I love using exfoliating products for my face as I tend to get dry skin around my t-zone – I know it’s gross! I was really loving using a flannel and scrub however the flannel has to dry twice a day, it drips everywhere and it just makes a bit of a mess really.

I brought this product as a pay day treat and am thrilled I did! All you do is twist the top, squeeze some gel out, twist the top shut to avoid wasting product or using to much then use the brush to cleanse your face in circular motions.

I love the brush on this product, it’s so gentle whilst being super effective. When comparing this to a face scrub I found that sometimes with cheaper face scrubs the little granuals that scrub the dead skin cells away don’t get everywhere on the face leaving patches-  which if you have a very flaky nose like me, foundation is a nightmare! This gets everywhere as the bristles are very compact and you can easily control the movements. I also find this product is clearing up my skin, I get terrible blackheads around my t-zone, mostly on my nose, this product is definitely clearing my pores out as well as red blemishes. There is no oily residue so it’s perfect for combination skin but I would recommend a got moisturise after using as it’s quite drying. This is definitely a new beauty essential for me.

That’s all for now girlies, I hope you enjoyed this read. Let me know if you have tried this product before and you thoughts on it?

A VERY EXCITING BEAUTY HAUL – PART 2!

Hello beauties,

As some of you will know I post a beauty haul a couple of days ago, this is part 2. I probably buy too much makeup but I really couldn’t resist, I brought some real beauties all being Sleek products.

Sleek Eyeshadow Pallete (Vintage Romance 141)

I have never tried a Sleek eyeshadow palette before so this is quite exciting. They are all very glitter based colours with one matte shade however I brought Revolution matte palette (as mentioned in previous post) so I have some incredible glitter shades and gorgeous matte shades to work with to create some stunning looks.

Blush By 3 Palette (Lace 367)

This palette looks beautiful, it consists of two matte shades and 1 shimmer, the middle colour is my favourite (Guipure) it is a bring pink with gold shimmer which is the best combination I’ve ever heard of!

Eyebrow Stylist (medium)

I’ve been very into trying different eyebrow products latley, so I picked up this product. It has an angled pencil on one end plus a blending brush on the other. I haven’t tried this yet but am very excited too, I will let you know how I get on!

Face Contour Kit (medium 885)

To be honest I only ever buy these kits for the contour shade as I like a very strong highlight and the highlight shade in the kits never really cuts it for me. I love this contour shade and I think the highlighter would be perfect for under the brows as it has a lot more shimmer than other contour kits I have tried.

Lip VIP (walk of fame 1010)

I have never liked red lipstick on me it just looks werid however I’m unsure if it looks werid or if I’ve just been using some very naff red lipsticks! I class Sleek as a high end brand from the drugstore compared to cheaper brands such as MUA and Makeup Revolution, so I thought I would try out a real red lipstick.

That’s all for now beauties, hope you enjoyed!

A VERY EXCITING BEAUTY HAUL

Hello beauties, it was payday yestsday so in true pay day style I went to buy some beauty bits that I have wanted to try for a while! Today I am going to show you what I brought.

First off is something I have seen all over the internet recently and that’s the Sleek Solstice highlighting Palette (£9.99). I have wanted this for a while as the colors are just stunning, I am so happy I could pick this up. I tried this out today and I’m now in love with it you can’t pick up the pink to much because of my camera but you can definitely see the glow!

Next up is a foundation

Maybelline Fit Me in 105. (£5.99)

I have never tried this foundation before but I had seen a few people use it and love it so I thought I would give it a go! I’m a bit funny with foundations as they just show up my dry patches and cake in certain areas of my face however I also tried this today and I adore it! When I first put the product on my face it seemed very light kind of like a tinted moisturizer, I was a little worried I wouldn’t get the medium coverage I would of liked but I did and I love it

I always find my concealer and foundation go so flaky on my skin. I started using a face srub and it has worked wonders! However I was looking to buy something to make the whole process a little easier plus nicer on the skin and I found this

Garnier Skin Active. (£7.50)

I love the brush on this its so much softer on my skin than a flannel and my hands but also works very effectivly.

Sleek lip creams.

Kylie lip kits were always my go to liquid lipstick and now Sleek lip creams are my favorite, let me know if you want to see a comparison post as I definitely have a lot to say! All I will say now so I avoid boring you all is that the Sleek lip cream is a lot lighter on the lips it doesn’t feel like you wearing any lippy! I love it. (£5.99)

This is the  MAKEUP REVOLUTION utra eye contour light and shade. (£8)

I brought this after seeing sophdoesnails talking about it in a video and instantly told myself I should purchase the product. I’ve only ever owned one matte eyeshadow so this is very exciting, I also think this palette could you used for multiple things. I am yet to try this but I’m sure it will be incredible.

Primark oval brushes! (£2.50/£4)

I was going to purchase the Revolution oval brushes but I was a little worried I would spend all the money and not like the brushes, I brought these so I could test the oval style brushes before buying a whole set. I tried these today and am definitely going to be buying a set of oval brushes. I love them!

Thats all for now beauties,

There will be a part 2 to this haul up tommrow! Hope you enjoyed this read.

30 Beauty Questions Tag

Hello beauties,i wanted to do a different kind of post today and whilst doing some research I came across the ’30 Beauty Questions Tag’, today I will be doing this tag!

1. Do you remember your first makeup item?

I remember my first makeup very clearly. It was a big set from Argos, something along the lines of pretty pink. It included a very orange foundation, lots of bright colourful shadows and some bright red/berry lip colours – I adored it!

2. Decribe your perfect mascara. Have you found one that’s fits your specifications?

My perfect mascara is ‘Benefits There Real’ non clumpy, lengthening mascara. I also love mascaras that kind of wing your eyelashes outwards so the are shorter on the inner corners than outer corners.

3. What kind of coverage do you prefer from a foundation?

If I’m wearing foundation I want a full coverage otherwise I just wouldn’t wear it. If I wear foundation I go all out!

4. Favourite high end brand?

Urban Decay plus Jeffree Star.

5. What cosmetics brands have you always wanted to try but still haven’t?

Kat von D, and actually NYX I’ve never trying one of their products before! I know what I’m doing payday.

6. Favourite drugstore brand?

Collection, Revolution also Rimmel London!

7. Do you wear fake eyelashes?

Nope, i don’t know if this is just me  but they feel so heavy on my lashes my eyes actually become tired. It’s too much hassle.

8. Is there any kind of makeup you can’t leave the house without?

Sometimes I will put my glasses on to get away without wearing eye make up as the glasses make them look bigger, so I’m that situation it would be concealer!

9. What is your most cherished beauty product?

Hoola bronzer! It works as a eyeshadow, contour and bronzer. Love it to pieces.

10. How often do you shop for makeup? Do you like to pick up a item here and there or get loads of goodies at once?

I definitely like to get lots of goodies at once, I find it way more exciting however I only shop of makeup on payday once a month.

11. Do you have a ‘beauty budget’ or do you spend freely?

I only allow myself to spend up to £50 on makeup a month, for example if I want an item that costs £50 I will only buy that whereas if I wanted products costing less I will get more.

12. Do you utilise coupons, reward cards and sales when you shop for cosmetics?

I have a boots and super drug card, they save you a lot of money if you shop there frequently.

13. What type of product do you buy most of?

Highlighters.

14. Is there a brand that you absolutely can’t stand?

Not that I’m aware of yet.

15. Do you avoid certian ingredients in cosmetics like parabens and sulfates?

Not completely but I do try.

16. Do you have a favourite place to shop for makeup?

SUPERDRUG! They always have 3 for 2 deals going on and have a huge range of products.

For high end I like to shop at House of Fraser.
17. Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certian routine?

I like keeping to products I trust but this month I will be trying so,e new things I have had my eye one.

18. Favourite bath and body brand?

LUSH

19. If you could only buy from one brand, which brand would you choose?

Benefit, I’ve never been disappointed with a product from them before all their makeup is incredible.

20. What brand do you think has the best packaging?

I like 17 packaging its just really pretty and sturdy.

21. Which celebrity always has great makeup?

Kylie Jenner for a full face full coverage look.

Gigi Hadid for a more natural look.

22. Do you belong to any online makeup communities?

No but I would very much like to 🙂

23. 5 Favourite Beauty Gurus?

Emily Canham, Sophie Foster, Sophie Lousie, Tayna Burr, Sophdoesnails

24. Do you like multifunctional products like lip and cheek stains?

I can’t stand lip and cheek stains. I love them only for the lips.

25. Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?

I could lie and say I’m not but I am. The worst one is sneezing just after putting eye makeup on or making my lipstick perfect but forgetting to brush my teeth before so I ruin my lipstick with toothpaste.

26. Do you use makeup base/primer for the eyes?

I love Urban Decays Primer Potion for the eyes, for face I tend to mix it up a lot I haven’t found a favourite yet!

27. How many hair products do you use on a typical day?

Tresemme shampoo and conditioner, GHD straighteners and Argon oil on the ends.

28. What do you apply first foundation or concealer?

Foundation, then concealer I wouldn’t have it any other way.

29. Do you ever consider taking makeup classes?

I want to go back to college to study media make up but I learn loads from YouTube!

30. What do you love about makeup?

I love being able to use makeup to make me feel more comfortable and confident in my skin, hide my imperfections and make my best features shine! I love being able to change looks to suit the occasion, you can do so much with makeup it’s a truly incredible thing. You don’t have to wear makeup to feel beautiful however it’s makes me feel beautiful that’s why I use it, that extra confidence that it gives me really helps me.

That’s all for now girlies, leave a comment or do this tag I nominate you! I hope you enjoyed reading this post and I will see you again tommorow as I am now doing daily blogs!

Lots of love. Byeee❤️

Recent beauty Buys!

Hello beauties,

I have recently picked up a few beauty related goodies, I thought I would share them with you!

I have never owned a full size Marc Jacobs perfume, but there’s a first time for everything! I’ve only ever tried the minis and I adore them. If you have followed my blog for a while you will know I am terrible at decribing scents, all I know is that it smells lush.

Collection – Speedy Highlighter!

I don’t normally like stick highlighters as I just find they remove way to much of my perfected make up and tend to completely ruin a look, however when I tested this it didn’t drag and was very pigmented so for £4 I thought why not -plus I love Collection products!

Ted Baker – Body Lotion

Not going to lie to you, I really did only buy this for the super pretty bottle however Ted Baker products have never disappointed me before plus it smells incredible. I have seen a lot of people have this lotion and love it and now I can love it too.

George – Matte primer

Neutrogena CC Cream

I have seen a video tag going round YouTube of beauty gurus testing out different brands of makeup, for example MUA, poundland things like that. I also saw that George was a popular choice, from all the videos I watched primer proved best. So I am going to give it a go and let you all know how it goes as who wouldn’t love an amazing primer for only £4!

CC cream

I have never tried CC cream but it sounds like the perfect thing for me as at work I don’t like to wear heavy foundation. I am a little disappointed though as when I got home I tested the colour on my hand, it was a lot more orange than was lead on. I am a still to try this on my face so fingers crossed!

Benifit – Bad Girl Lash

Benefits There Real is my favourite mascara ever! I don’t tend to branch out from that mascara but I feel like I need to start trying more products, so little steps at a time. I didn’t branch out too far – however it’s a start! I am actually really excited to try this mascara as I love Benefit make up a lot! I only brought a mini until I know I love the product.

So these are a few of my recent beauty buys, there will be a huge beauty haul uploaded on Saturday which i am so excited to post so keep a look out for that! Any questions feel free to ask down below.
